Hello Curzon, Thank a lot to share this information on the blog, it's really appreciated. I have no doubt that the Kazakhstan has the best situation in the countries of Central Asia. I’m really not an expert of the region, I just done some little research and read some stories on comebackalive.com. However, does Kazakhstan have the same contemporary history as some other countries in CA? I mean that I don’t think that superpower occidental countries can rely on these countries for their own homeland security. I don’t point out any specific country but they have much more important problems to solve before spending all their resources and time on this type of thing. It’s possible that I’m wrong but it’s how I view this. Salutations,

I think you overestimate how remote Central Asia is nowadays. I've been to Kazakhstan -- it's a nice cosmopolitan place, remote but not isolated, with plenty of hippie English teachers, Texas oil men, and NY corporate law offices. Kyrgystan is also pretty accessible. Yes, Turkmenistan is totally blocked off, Uzbekistan is rough, and Tajikistan remains a mess, but the Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan are both doing well.
